Burning out

Here is a poem inspired by a generation defining suicide note:




The man who sold the world:

"It's better to burn out than fade away"
Like a star, coming to an end,
Rather go out big and on top.

Never slow down.
Never look back,
Always dive in head first.

Reach for the top,
Reach as far as you can humanly reach,
Don't stop for complacency.

Make love passionately,
Make romance a priority,
But never let love hold you back.

Be true to yourself.
Like a match, reaching the end of your fuse,
"Its better to burn out than fade away."
